    Access to information kept by the Parish Council under the Freedom of Information Act

  • Allotments

  • Cemeteries

    The Council owns and maintains the cemetery on Church Lane, Narborough and also maintains the closed churchyard at All Saints Parish Church.

  • Council land and property

    The Council owns several areas of land in the parish, including, Thorpe Meadows and the Six Acre Field. The Parish Centre and Littlethorpe Village Hall are also owned by the Council

  • Dog litter bins

    The Council provides dog litter bins on Narborough Park, Littlethorpe Park and Thorpe Meadows, the Six Acre Field and at the Recreation Ground on Leicester Road. The bins are serviced by contract on a regular basis.

  • Halls for hire

    Halls are available at The Parish Centre, Desford Road, Narborough and at Littlethorpe Village Hall, Biddle Road, Littlethorpe. See Booking our Halls for further information and current fees and charges. Other halls for hire in the area are listed in "local information" on our homepage.

    The War Memorial is inside the Cemetery Gate at Church Lane, Narborough. The Memorial at Littlethorpe is in The Square.

  • Nature reserves

    The land at Thorpe Meadows is home to many species of plant and animal life and is open to the public, however it is subject to flooding in heavy rainfall. Narborough Bog is run by the Leicestershire Wildlife Trust and is situated by the Recreation Grounds on Leicester Road, Narborough. See local information.

  • Parking

    The Parish Council has a small parking area on Narborough Park. Other car parks in the area are at Weavers Court on Desford Road, Royal Court (Post Office), The Grange (NatWest Bank) and Narborough Station, these are NOT administered by the Parish Council and may have restrictions and/or charges.

  • Parks and gardens

    The Parish Council owns and maintains the park at Sycamore Way, Littlethorpe. It also rents and maintains the park at Desford Road, Narborough.

  • Playgrounds

    The Council owns and maintains play areas at Sycamore Way, Littlethorpe and Hardwicke Road, Narborough. It also rents the land and owns and maintains the equipment at Desford Road, Narborough.

  • Public meetings

    Generally the Parish Council holds monthly meetings on the third Tuesday of the month all of which are open to the public. There is a council surgery before each meeting at which you may raise items of concern. The Annual Parish Meeting is held in March.     This is held at Blaby District Council, Council Offices, Desford Road, Narborough, LE19 2EP

  • Salting and gritting

    The Parish Council acts as agents for the County Council through a Snow Warden Scheme and salts the areas designated by the LCC during bad weather.

  • Sports and recreation facilities

    The sports grounds at Leicester Road, Narborough contain areas for football and cricket and are run by the clubs, see local information for specific details. The pavilion can be hired for social events see Sports Association in local information.

    The Parish Council owns and maintains various seating and notice boards in the Parish.
